Standing With Rothko

For some emotional reasons, this is one of the pieces that stuck with me out of all of Mark Rothko's work. Not my favorite, just an interesting one. Grays in Yellow, painted by Rothko in 1960.
Fun fact: the title was assigned by dealer Sidney Janis. Rothko abandoned descriptive titles around 1947. He preferred that viewers see his work without any guidance or distraction.
Read this on the wall walking into the Rothko exhibition at the National Gallery of Art.
